About Us
Student Affairs performs a variety of roles connecting students to all areas of the University and giving advice and direction when problems arise. Some of the services that the Student Affairs office provides for students include but are not limited to:
- Accessibility and accommodations
- Title IX and Bearcat Equity/Title VI
- Emergency contact for parents/others to contact students
- Peer education
- Scheduling of all campus facilities for non-course related activities
- Assisting with and advising student organizations
- Service learning projects in conjunction with academic programs
- Addressing substance abuse issues on campus
- Housing and meal plans

Our Mission
At Northwest Missouri State University, the Division of Student Affairs is comprised of the following areas: Bearcat Shop, Campus Dining, Student Engagement & Development, Counseling Center, Wellness Services, Campus Recreation, Hughes Fieldhouse, Residential and Auxiliary Services, Title IX and Equity and the office of the Vice President of Student Affairs. Student Affairs is committed to enhancing the personal/social and academic development of students by collaboratively facilitating programs and experiences designed to produce the following outcomes:
